Catalina De Castro
Public Policy & Economics Analyst
In addition to Engineering, I study political science and commerce at UBC. As a queer first-generation immigrant and daughter of a business owner, I am passionate about finding robust technical solutions to address the
intersectional needs of Canadian communities and businesses. As the public policy and economics analyst of the team, I saw this project as an opportunity to bridge the gap between what business owners need to survive
this pandemic and what the government can provide.
Chantelle Chan
Full Stack Software Developer
I am an engineering student at UBC and an LGBT+ Asian-Canadian software developer with 4 years of experience working on data analytics web applications. During my time at UBC, I have been heavily involved in various interdisciplinary
engineering projects that apply data analytics in unexpected places. As the software developer of this team, I am excited to leverage my skills to create a tool that brings to light the most urgent needs of small business
owners to the government bodies that aim to serve them.
